I have the strangest dreams sometimes. It's been a while since I've posted one here--did I write out the zombie apocalypse one? that was great--and it is actually one of the most long sort of personal uses for this journal that I've had... that is to say, it's been a "thing" for me to write them here since the beginning. A hobby or habit if you will. I can't quite get that in the words I want to express what I mean/feel but whatever. ANYWAY.

That aside. Here we go one more time:

the mafia and me )

Y-yeah... ignore that, too.

Just watched Knowing. I liked it. I don't care if people think the ending is predictable/corny. I still thought it was a good film. I also happen to really like Cage so that helps. Sue me. But still I think I would have liked it anyway.

These are just thoughts I want to get out of my head. Things about the film. Spoilers if you haven't seen it.

Allusion )

That...did not turn out as expected. Ignore that. Please.

I had a zombie dream, a la Zombieland. Well, sorta.

It didn't start off a zombie dream, there were no zombies at all--in fact, there weren't very many people at all in the beginning and I was apparently in butt-freakin' no where. (Actually I was up near New Broneffels as if going to Schittlerbann or heading towards the river to raft, whoo. Only... it was some weird stop along the way. ikd.) But then there were people, a few, in this ghost town in the countryside, but I didn't want to stay there (I don't think I was welcome to either) and I left that creepy place being watched by the old lady and.... shit. This dream was actually scary. I mean, it was "mild" and I stayed asleep through the entire thing without jerking awake (somehow) but I was wary and then scared the entire way through. After the "ghost town" I was wondering back to my truck when it became Zombieland. I apparently ran across an abandoned trailer, a surprisingly nice one on the inside, man, and grabbed guns and ammo. (Its Texas; its believable, people. I promise.) I grabbed two pistols and an assault rifle and loaded all of my pockets with ammo (apparently I had my hoodie with me and I put it on at this time; it was night by now and getting chilly so it seemed logical? filled its pockets with ammo). Then the real hunt began. There was something that happened here, a person showed up, some random nice looking guy who I think was a "friendly" at first but I was still keeping my distance? And then he was one of 'em later, but I don't remember ever shooting him. Whatever happened I got away and headed towards my truck. (Do NOT ask me why it was so damn far away. B|) When I got to my truck the scariest part happened and it was definitely a zombie nightmare by that time. I got in my truck no problems. I CHECKED BEHIND ME JUST LIKE IN THE MOVIE, AND GODDAMNIT I DO NOT EVEN HAVE A BACKSEAT. But I checked the small space behind the seat anyway. Nothing. Yay. I turn back around and there's this zombie dude that came out of nowhere standing in front of my truck trying to get at me. The door is slammed, locked, and I shit you not the damn dream thought it would be ~HILARIOUS~ to put that thing beside in the truck while my vehicle wouldn't start. (Cold came at night, it needed more gas, etc, etc. Stuff my truck does irl before it'll start sometimes, nothing major) It did start; but that damn freakin' zombie was in the truck with me IDEKH. My doors were locked; when I went to get in I had to unlock it just like I always do, and you can't unlock the passenger side door from the outside, it's broke, but that fucker got in there. Damn you dream physics. Apparently, the zombie set a trap and unlocked my door. (I swear to God I thought that in the dream and therefore according to dream physics it was.) I have no fucking clue why it then got back out and locked the driver's door, but yeah. Whatever. That fucker scared the shit out of me I am surprised I didn't wake up then but I didn't. I twisted its neck until it broke but that wasn't enough. I finally put my gun up under its chin and blew its brains out. GET THIS: there was logic in the way I placed the gun. It had to be under the chin or else I'd blow the window out on the passenger side door so I deliberately repositioned the gun after already having it aimed at the head in general. I kid you not. So anyway then I kick the zombie out, slam the door, LOCK IT, and am out of there. Fuck you, I'm driving out of here. ... Apparently there were a lot of survivors in vehicles because there was traffic on the main road BACKED UP and I decided to follow the lone vehicle turning off onto the back way. DID I FORGET TO MENTION SOME ~BRILLIANT~ FUCKER DECIDED TO NUKE THE PLACE?? Yeah, that happened when I was walking to the truck out in BFE nowhere; it was too far away to hurt me apparently but made for a "pretty" lightshow. That scared the shit out of me too. (Shut up. I've seen Terminator one too many times and how was I supposed to know I was far enough away to not immediately die from it? I bet I got radiation or some shit though. Just my luck. -_-) And there was more than one but I was focused on that one in front of me. That happened right before I got to my truck. Then the rest. At the end, in the truck driving off, it panned off like in some fucking movie and showed the map of the US and the route I was taking. The radio said something about La Vegas, Nevada(?) being free and "getting out" there. As in, out of Zombieland I guess. Out of the country and somewhere safe. Idk. But that's where I was heading, though in the pan-out scene it showed other routes to and from places, too.

And that's it. That's my lovely fucking zombie dream. It scared me. I thought I was gone when that zombie was in the truck with me; I felt its teeth on my wrist as I was trying to keeping it back and twist its neck at the same time, but apparently its teeth didn't quite make it together and it didn't break skin (either that or I'm immune? but I didn't get that feeling) and I got away, but I didn't think I was going to. So the dream was mostly uneventful 'cept that one last part, but I swear to God it was scary as fuck the entire way through. I just...always had this permeating sense of dread and fear the entire through the entire dream. Even the beginning had this "creepy" feeling before it turned into Zombieland. Bah. Again, I'm surprised I slept through the entire thing without jerking awake. I came to very slowly after the dream was completely over actually. It's weird.

Weird as fuck, and over now. Thank God. I was very calm through the whole thing, too, but still scared. It was strange for me. Nightmares usually aren't so calm feeling. I jerk awake at the end. This...played out like a movie and except that one frantic part-- I don't know. Then the slow waking up and me calmly going through the dream I just had (to remember it for here)... and...

Well, whatever. That's it.

Spoilers I guess? )

Also, apparently my Xbox's graphics settings were dumbed way down due to me not knowing there's a switch on the back to enable the HD component. Way to go me. Had the right cables hooked up, got a TV that actually does HD like whoa, and yet-- right. Thanks, Bubba, for figuring that out. And fixing it. I have to admit I believe Ezio looks much better in HD. Fffffft!

That is all. Oh, well... why not...

Merry Christmas.
aisuyoukai: (winged devil [dmc])
HALLOWEEN WAS SO MUCH FUN. I had a blast. And while only one of you will get ANYTHING I am talking about in this spiel I am about to type out I don't care and you can have fun laughing at me, seriously. Also yes, there will be crude humor involved. XD You have be warned, damnit.

So I went to Renfest (that's renaissance festival for you non-Texans) with my friends this year for Halloween. (So cool that it actually fell exactly on it this year, heh.) It's kinda a tradition but this year was so sweet. I went as a winged devil. SO MUCH FUN. I CANNOT EMPHASIZE THIS ENOUGH. I was playing with the wings all day, but especially got into it as it got dark and beyond. I GOT ASKED FOR FOUR PHOTOSHOOTS. HOW AWESOME IS THAT? I've never been asked for photos before; it was quite exciting. :D I also scared a kid who thought he could bad-mouth a devil. Retard. ....and then there were ten-million "horny devil"/"horniest lady I've seen all day" comments flying about. It was rather amusing, actually. All in good jest. (And then there was this one old guy who was creepy about it. I swear to God one of my friends tried to distract and he did NOT look away from me. /cries. But someone else walked up and said something and thus attention diverted we all just sorta....walked away. LOL.) Also got asked for a random hug, idk but I was too happy being excited people liked my costume to be "personal space RAWR" person that day so... she got it. lol. DID I MENTION I GOT ASKED FOR PHOTOS? /shot. Okay, okay.

AND TORI. (Teagan already heard.) GUESS WHAT? I SWEAR TO GOD (again even!) THAT I ACTED LIKE RAMPANT THE OTHER NIGHT. Technically the pair of friends I went with (there were more but we sorta split off and the fourth wasn't dressed up, whatever) went as elementals--the King of Fire and Queen of Ice--and I was their pet demon. lol. So "Master" bought a bag of sweet popcorn (best popcorn I've ever had, I kid you not; it is both sugared and salted) and because my hands literally were my wings it wasn't very practical for me to use them--so I was begging for treats. I did tricks to get them! Haha. (I would open my wings to different degrees and stuff like that.) It was...oddly fun. SHUT UP. I WAS HAVING FUN IN CHARACTER. Plus it was totally amusing. I think "Mistress" might have been a little embarrassed but that's okay, that's not very hard to do. lol. And she was having fun, too. I'm glad. I'm pretty sure we all had tons of fun. I mean obviously I know I did, and the new addition seemed to thoroughly enjoy the crude humor floating around, haha, and obviously Baratus always loves it, and I think even Mokushi loved every bit of it. ^__^

So awesome.

SO NEKO. We actually only managed to watch one show this year, lol, we kept missing the others, oops, but we were just having so much fun walking around and goofing off and talking to random people/shop owners and.... but anyway! You remember the "Art of Defense Symposium" or whatever it was called (at the Academy of Arms)? Yeah, we managed to actually catch that one. (And before that we listened to Tartantic if you remember them.) Well they had a new person this year! It was still four people battling it out and stuff, but instead of four guys their new person was a girl. SHE WAS SO COOL. And crude. LOL. It was great, really. I could not get over the fact that she was from Florence, Italy. (Why yes I am obsessed with certain assassin-y game coming out on the 17th.) Okay so for you guys who have no clue what I'm talking about their act is that they're four people from different parts of Europe who come here to compete in a small tournament. There is Oscar Hosslehoff from Germany, "Hard" John from England, "Little" Peter O'Toole from Dublin, Ireland, and the new Patchou--you know what I'm going to butcher her name if I even tried because not only can I not spell it but I couldn't even pronounce it really >.>--from Florence, Italy. (They each had specifics but that's all I can remember by heart, damnit!) I really liked the girl this year--and she won! (Which is ironic, really, because last year my favorite was O'Toole and he won when we watched that year. Haha.) They have the audience vote on the winners so even if one of them wins the duels the crowd favorite wins. Oh, and Hosslehoff has this amusing "new" book called "Grab Them By the Crotch and Throw Them Out the Window!" (Best said with a German accent, seriously. Go ahead, do it. I'll wait. /pauses typing for ten seconds.) So the steps are basically thus: I forget the first two but then there's 3) grab them, 4) pummel them (this is my favorite part, Hosslehoff says and pommels a few more seconds), 5) grab them by the crotch, and 6) throw them out the window! Fffft. It's wonderful. So then they introduce the four competitors and it's all great but the one thing I must share is when Hosslehoff was being introed the announcer ("Hard" John usually does this except for himself) mentions the book and Hosslehoff immediately plugs it with "It will change your life!" and then the girl went "It changed my gender!" Ehehehe. Also they have one "intermission" with an "advertisement" that Hosslehoff and John usually do together about (and here comes the really crude humor, folks) "Better Beaver Butter!"--with 50% less beaver hair than other beaver butter! FFFT. Okay, I'm done you can read again. >D

...and if you don't get that, please don't ask. LOLOLOL. (Or as they put it in the beginning: this act does have violence and crude humor; it is not for kids. we warned you! although if they go to public school they won't be able to tell the difference anyway! ...if you don't get a joke ask your kids.)

Vaguely sad we didn't catch any other shows but we did hear "Cast in Iron" while we--well, they--were throwing knifes and axes and stuff. Then we walked over there to listen more but...uh...this REALLY drunk gypsy-wench draped herself over Homer and he told her to get off after smelling her breath (apparently she was spinning around, dancing? and its not hard to wonder why she started to FALL). He had that "serious smile" on his face--it's hard to explain without knowing him 'cause it's not really a smile per se--but basically it meant he was being forcefully polite while really not wanting to deal with something. Least to say it kinda ruined the happy music times for us, lol, and anyway it was over with after that song apparently. We avoided the gypsy-wench and didn't shoot the longbows 'cause she was there at the time, ffft, and went straight to listen to the "drunk-a-wench" which is--you guessed it--more crude humor times. Basically what the, ahem, "lady" does in the tank is rally really hard on the people throwing at the button and/or the nearest would-be throwers if no one is currently doing so. It's great to listen to. Newb (he doesn't have a nifty name given for internet use, heh) threw at her and got close (coupla inches) each throw except for one where you could tell he was getting frustrated. XD Then we walked across the way and listened to the OTHER guy--like a jester type. You threw tomatoes at his face while he bad-mouthed you. lol. Newb threw at him too and this time got worse as he began laughing too hard. XDD All in all it was great fun.

...Hmmm. What else? OH YEAH. The sword shop had some new replicas they were selling this year: video game swords. They had Alty's long sword, a very interesting metal version of Halo's energy sword, and--dun dun dun--Red Queen from, duh, Devil May Cry 4. They're all too small in size for me to have wanted to buy them for shits and giggles. If it's not going to be a working blade I want to buy the damn thing at the right size. Ya know? Plus Red Queen was way too expensive. However, it was really interesting to see up close. I never realized just how AWKWARD a sword that thing is--seriously, it looks weird. It has odd angles and random pieces just...sticking out. I don't know how to explain it. But it was cool to see in person like that...even though it was so "tiny." (Maybe three-four feet long? And too small width-wise. Trust me. That's so not how large the real thing would be.) They had the rev parts and everything though. The first time I saw it I was pissed and turned my back on it. But I had to go back several times to look at it. XD /is a sucker. Seriously too expensive for the size though. Oh, and Alty's sword? Way too small too. It was say... short sword (if even!) size, and trust me it was NOT his short sword. That is curved. It was his long sword. Only... not long. GAY.

But that's okay because I know how easy it is to find them online (and even as WORKING BLADES if I want) so I'm not worried about that. Because yes, I plan on buying them. XP

SPEAKING OF ASSASSIN'S CREED. There was...a guy dressed as Alty up there. Except. It made me want to cry. He was kinda larger and the costume he had didn't fit so well and and and... and yeah, it just wasn't cool, sadly. (Someone today told me they saw a black robed version, too! But I didn't see him personally. :c) /SIGH

...I think that's FINALLY about it. Oh, yeah. I'll have pictures up later I SWEAR. I just have to get them first and they're not on my camera (yeah, right. WHAT camera? fft.) So I promise you those, flist, in the future!! Seriously!

BECAUSE I WANT TO SHOW OFF HOW NIFTY I WAS THIS YEAR. BECAUSE I THOUGHT IT WAS AWESOME.

Hope everyone had a great Halloween, too. Later~!

Out of what? Half a dozen, a dozen tries? And got two lousy sets of 800 orbs out of those dozen or two tries for all that wasted effort? Really now? I'm that pathetic?

Dear Lord!!

How did I beat this game the first time through? Omg, I suck so badly. How the hell do I expect to get past the "dragon" if I can't hit the spider's fireballs back at him!? Seriously!!

GAH!! ::Flails things::

But not of the bad kind. ;D

In the past four days I've seen a total of four movies at the theaters. All new stuff. It's really cool. I just got back from the latest one an hour and a half ago. It was fun. I love this week. lol. Well, weekend. I'm so tired though. I'm still doing a 'I-don't-do-anything-but-sit-around-and-maybe-read-or-play-on-my-laptop' job. Do we see a pattern in my life here? lol. But, yeah, I'm a security guard. And no, it's not as cool as it sounds. It's rather lame. And boring. Oh-so boring. Yes, very very boring. Anyway... it's a job. And somehow I still manage to become tired doing it. Tired from doing a whole lot of nothing. Does that make sense? No, no it doesn't. But it happens anyway. -_-

Oh, right, so the movies. Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. In this order of those days I went and saw: Hancock, Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Get Smart, and Journey to the Center of the Earth. I really enjoyed every single one of them, so I pretty much recommend them all to just about anyone.

Hellboy II is by far my favorite one. I loved it to death. (I'm even thinking about RPing Krauss. Hehe.) It's very epic, but it was not over-the-top like I feared might be the case. It was very beautiful visually, and the story is compelling. Poor Abe. Anyway, it's very very good and I recommend that one to everyone! It's awesome! Oh, and hilarious! >XD

I'm not sure which one I liked better: Journey to the Center of the Earth or Get Smart. They were both really good. Get Smart is freakin' hilarious and I actually enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. Same for Journey really, but the former is (obviously) more geared for comedy although the story gets to you; and the latter is more epic with its really funny parts. I'd probably go with the second, but I did just get back from it and its fresh in my mind, and if you don't like over-the-top stuff it isn't the best pick. However, it's a fun movie. And it's not really over-the-top, because I don't like that stuff, and this was smart and good and... well, I'll shut up now. Go see it! Both of them!

Hancock is my least favorite, but that's really a bad way of putting it. It's really good, too. Just out of the four... I like the other ones better. lol. But, it's also the farthest one from my mind because I saw it first. Anyway, I recommend it to just about everyone, too. Although it did go through enough curse words for a PG-13 movie. >_- Mostly the word "asshole" or variances thereof.

Also, whatever week that was that Wall-E came out, I went and saw that that first day it was out. It was awesome! Adorably cute!! Hee! ♥ I loved it! Recommend that to everyone, definitely! :D (Also wouldn't mind playing EVE. She's kick-ass.)

That's about it. Although I've been renting a lot of movies, too. RDJ addict? Me? Never! Haha. Yeah... I am. :P Let's see... here's the list: Zodiac, Good Night, and Good Luck, The Singing Detective, A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus, and Air America. The last my friend had, the rest were rented in a span of two weekends. Or was that three? :3 Anyway, those are all the RDJ movies. Here's a few Val Kilmer ones, lol: Spartan and Blind Horizon. I'm working on more. XD Um, then I watched Ocean's Thirteen but I really couldn't tell you what happened. I so wasn't paying attention. DX Oops. Oh well. Uh... I forget what else, if anything. I have the feeling I'm missing something.

Cassandra's Dream! That's what I'm missing. It's another movie I rented. It has Colin Farrell and Ewan McGregor in it. It's pretty good. And I love both of those guys. They're so cute. Specially Colin! Whoo! :D

Other than...! I've watched Kiss Kiss Bang Bang ten million more times and it's still fucking awesome. I shouldn't be so amused with it after having seen it so many times, but I still am. Whoo!

Split-Lip

May. 14th, 2008 08:26 pm
aisuyoukai: (Halo | Elite - Invisible Stalker)
So I was watching this show on snakes today and I started thinking about Sangheili (Elites from Halo). It's odd, but it made me think. See, they have a few similarities. You can laugh, but please here me out first--then call me crazy for coming up with these ideas.

A snake's jaw bone is very unique; they have two separate bones rather than one connected jaw. They have a "split-lip." This allows them to stretch their lower lip wide enough to swallow large prey whole. Sangheili are commonly called "split-lips" by human personnel because they have mandibles for jaws.

Now, I've always wondered about what Sangheili eat. In the Halo graphic novel it is shown that Sangheili ships possess a hunting grounds on board. Mostly it's to honor the hunt, if I've read and interpreted correctly, but I wonder if they also eat their downed prey. Seems to me that would also be apart of honoring the hunt. (Like Native American beliefs.) Some of those animals... are quite large.

I realize the Sangheili have a benefit that snakes do not: hands. So they can rip pieces of meat apart similar to the way humans do. Cutting, slicing, ya know. But chewing? That doesn't seem very likely considering their mouth structure. So I imagine they eat huge chunks of meat in one large go. Looking at the snake, and their intricate mouth system, I can see where these similarities could in handy.

A Sangheili's split-jaw structure would make it easier for the alien to swallow large pieces of meat whole. But that isn't all the Sangheili have similar to a snake. If I remember correctly, in Halo 3 the details of the Sangheili mouth are a little easier to discern--and they were given another snake-like quality: an extra row of teeth. This extra set of teeth are in the top of the mouth, not connected in any way to the mandibles as the other two sets of teeth are. (Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure I remember seeing this.)

In a snake these extra set of deadly teeth help the snake swallow its prey, literally walking up the dead animal's body inch by inch. In a Sangheili's mandible jaw structure I'm not sure how this would work, or if it would even help (quite frankly when I first saw this my first thought was "wouldn't those get in the way?"--but I'm beginning to wonder), but it is still a similarity. More or less. Perhaps they're just vestigial? Maybe they were more snake-like fifty-million years ago or something like that. You never know. On the off chance that they're not, maybe they do, somehow or another, work in a similar fashion to a snake's extra row of teeth. Maybe somehow they can be made to move in a fashion that would help a Sangheili swallow, moving in concession with the mandibles.

It's just food for thought. (Ha. Bad pun, sorry.) I find the Sangheili a very interesting species. I would love to learn more of their society, especially anything before the ages of the Covenant. But biology can be fun, too, apparently. At least in the theoretical sense. Sometimes I wonder why I like science in the abstract, but can't focus nearly as well when I'm studying it for school. Anyway, there's my little rant about Sangheili physiology concerning their mouth structure compared to a large constrictor snake. Enjoy~? XD

By the way, the episode of Criminal Minds that's on right now is pure love. The part with Hotchner on the stand? Awesome incarnate. He pinned that guy exactly. :D

I did not know I could like anything more than the movie. BUT THIS NOVEL IS KICK-ASS! Yes, I am reading the Iron Man novel based off the screenplay. And it is awesome. I love the further insight to Tony Stark. Downey did an excellent job depicting him, even all the little nuances. But with the novel... I can get inside his head. It is wonderful.

First, he is totally in love with Pepper and it is so adorably cute that he just can't quite grasp that fact. Total denial. XD It's fun! Plus, a few other differences from the movie make it beautiful. Although I like some scenes better the way they are in the movies, a few I like in the novel just as well. So I find some way to combine them or something. lol. But, it really gets into the characters more even and especially in the differenterized spots. (Yes that is a made up word.)

But my favorite part? The first time Iron Man fights. He goes to Gulmira and pwns. Well, while he is doing it... he decides to listen to music. And what does he choose? Heavy metal, naturally! But the best part is... its my favorite stuff, too! Metallica! Black Sabbath! Hellz to the yeah! lol. And the songs totally fit. And I love it to no end.

Gawd, I am in love with Tony Stark. XD

I am so revved up thanks to this movie! I absolutely LOVE it!! It is sooo pretty. I love all the visuals. And I like who they chose to play Tony Stark. I think he's cute. XP Sue me.

In other news... LJ is pissing me off. I have now paid for my account (both the upgrade and extra userpics) TWICE and it is not registering. Now my icons are seriously lacking and it's pissing me off. That and the fact that... if it finally DOES register with the retards own as LJ... it better give me all those months combined... and, more importantly, if it DOESN'T that money better damn WELL STILL BE IN MY BANK ACCOUNT. Grr...!

Seriously. Pissing. Me. OFF.

I've got to figure out how to talk to them about that. Bah.

Buuut..... this was supposed to be a big rant about my movie. I am a fangirl now. I want to play the game, too. And get the novel. XD I know, I know--when I fangirl, I fangirl hard. XDDD

Ah, well. So.... the movie is awesome and I want to go see it again. :D
aisuyoukai: (ME | Normandy - Escape)
So last weekend.... finally posting for that... X3 ...anyway, so I went and saw Deception. I think it's pretty good. The beginning has a lot of sex stuff, and (as usual) I could do with less of that crap, but it sets up the ending and so I'm not upset. Heh. The ending is great and I thought it was cool. As usual I have nothing intelligent to say about it, but that's both because it's been awhile... and I hate giving away spoilers. And... I'm lazy. (If you have not figured that out about me by now... FOR SHAME. XD)

I also finally got over my weeping of the loss of a certain character in my latest video game... and got back on the ball to finish Bioshock. Dude, that game rocks. I'm already more than half-way through playing it again, this time on hard though, and I love how I catch things in more detail on my second way around. Of course, that's not to say I don't catch everything the first time through; no, in fact I usually predict things before they happen. (Indeed, with Bioshock I did that very thing; and--though not to give anything away--I got it right this time, that is to say what I guessed happened, but it wasn't in quite the manner I was leaning towards. Still...) It's just that I catch them in more detail. I'm not playing it any more slowly--in fact I think, no, I know I'm playing it much more quickly this time--but things just 'click' in a more detailed manner. Like, instead of just understanding what's going on, what happened in the past, now I completely understand both how they did it, why, and other detailed expressions of such knowledge and understanding. (XD) Anyway.... I was kind of disappointed with the ending... it seemed so abrupt. Or maybe that's not it exactly... I usually like open-ended endings to things. Where the imagination is set free to run as it wishes. Especially if it's dark. >X] But I'm thinking I just thought I was going to get a different ending. Maybe that's the only reason. Still... it did seem awfully abrupt rather than leaving you satisfied and full. The entire game is awesome and fulfilling, but the ending seemed short-lived and disappointing compared to all the in depth detail and hard work of the rest of the game. It left me with a nice little twist and evil open-ended "I can imagine whatever I want here" feeling... but disappointed that it was so SHORT. I was watching in all anticipation and then suddenly... it'sbackatthetitlescreen. WHAT!? THAT'S IT!? Okay..... let's try this again! Well, it's the SAME YOU DOLT. Naturally. Well, whatever. I love the game anyway. And maybe I'll like the other ending better. You never know.

Here's a random meme to stick in between. )

Yes, that rhymed. Shame on me.

In other news... no, wait. I lost my other news. Damn. I could have SWORN I had something else to say. Other than the fact that I have a HUGE amount of icons I need to dump when I get around to it. Like, almost a hundred or maybe even a little over a hundred icons just sitting and waiting for me to post. I might post 'em in two posts. I hate over-cramming one post like that. :3

Anyway, whatever else I had to say can either be said later or forgotten altogether. *Shrug*

I think the first one has an obvious explanation. But just in case... You're in the shower, nice and wet and naked, and suddenly prose and verse start sprouting out of your mouth in the most delightful way. Now how are you supposed to write these things down? Bring a pen and paper with you in the tub? That'd be fun. As for the while you're in bed trying to fall asleep... it always tends to be right before you conk off. So suddenly your eyes pop wide open and you can no longer even think of going to sleep. How uncool is that? And if I were to keep a pen and paper next to my bed, that would be all fine and dandy... until four o'clock in the morning rolls by and I realize I've had no sleep. So in other words, then I would never get to bed!

Either way, it really sucks to get an awesome idea during these two times. And guess what? I just got out of the shower. So guess what happened while I was in there that caused me to write this lovely, random rant? Yep, exactly.

Wonderful.

(Why yes, Neko, I did do that on purpose this time. >XD)
aisuyoukai: (FFVII | Rude - WTF?)
This is odd. Or something...

What the hell? I'm not this nice!! )

I'm bored. Wow am I bored. I already did all the work I have for the day, so I'm just sitting here staring at the computer screen wondering what to do. Since I have access to the internet, why not, yea? But, now that I'm here... there's nothing to do. I did it all already. Checked mail, replied to comments, checked friend's list postings, and even did a meme! So now I'm posting something to get rid of the boredom. As soon as I stop typing it'll plague me again. Can't get back into the RPG though 'cause I won't have a computer back home. Keep my hiatus, maybe I won't get kicked. XP

Well, on a grander note... I have gifts for everyone this year. For those of you who don't really know me in that sense, I never really buy gifts. I want to. Usually. But I never have the money, or know what to get a person. And I'm very picky when it comes to that sort of thing. If I don't know exactly what to get, I won't get anything. I can't just walk around a store and randomly pick out some tiny little thing to give as a thoughtful gift. I just don't work that way. It bugs me. Drives me crazy. But this year I've made an effort and it's working out pretty decently so far. I've got gifts for all my friends. I just need to work on my (immediate) family. Actually, I have something for my dad. That's a surprise! But it makes me happy to finally know what to get him and know for sure he'll enjoy/love it. ^^ As for my mom, I have a few ideas at least... but my brother? Ack! I haven't a clue. Yay for having an entire month to decide still? XD

I know. I'm lame. In other news... well, crap, I don't think I have other news. Oh wait! Is it evil wrong that at this time of year I'm still spending just as much money (more actually?) on myself as others? Meh. Opps. But I'm addictive in nature... I get easily addicted to things. Such as new movies and music. So I have a shitload of new DVDs I've recently bought, and two more in the mail now. Neko, wanna watch? XD And three CDs, all soundtracks I've recently noticed I liked enough to buy. Heh. I love soundtracks way too much. Maybe it's just that I like classical/instrumental music so much. Ah, well, sue me.

One more note, something I thought of thanks to mentioning movies. I get addicted to obessions. Usually characters in video games or books or comics. I went, like, from Deadpool to Spiderman to Daredevil and Bullseye. Thank you Homer for buying Ultimate Alliance. It's all his fault. I swear it is. But every now and then it's someone real--an actor. Currently? Colin Farrell. And it's all Homer's fault!! Here's the simple version:

Ultimate Alliance-->Deadpool-->Bullseye-->Daredevil movie-->Colin Farrell

Wtf, right? Right. But that's how it went. Homer bought Marvel Ultimate Alliance, then he played Deadpool and I fell almost instantly in love, then I read all the Deadpool comics, Bullseye was in a few DP comics and I liked him, Daredevil movie came on TV and despite flipping past it the first time (never been interested in DD before) I saw Bullseye the second time through the channels and ended up watching the dang movie, and from there I grew even more into Bullseye because eventually I got used to the way he looked (actually thought he was vaguely ugly at first, lol) and it grew on me so much I thought he was actually cute (did I mention I love physcos? especially insanely grinning ones?) and I ended up buying the Daredevil movie (Director's cut version though and it's a slight bit darker and I like it) and then I was curious about who played him and looked the actor up and found out he was actually quite cute and then when I got to my brother's for Thanksgiving he had the movie S.W.A.T. (which is really good by the way) and that has him in it so naturally I watched it and like it, and then when I got home a few days later they played Phone Booth (which is also a really good movie) and I like it too and so I went out and bought a bunch of movies he's in including those two and American Outlaws (which is also a good movie) and then the next day a different channel played The Recruit (which is yet another good movie) and so now I'm obsessed. It'll change eventually, as it always does, but I'm gonna end up broke before that happens at this rate. X_x!

In an aside, all those movies I really do recommend. Not because of the actor, even though I'm obsessed that's no reason to recommend a bad show. They're just good. In a small low-down--well, let's see. S.W.A.T. is a good action packed movie with some fun jokes and you're typical underdogs saving the day. If you like shows like Bad Boys II then you'll like that one. Phone Booth is a good thriller/suspense. It all takes place in a phone booth but you never get bored. It's a good psycho-thriller. American Outlaws is a modern western. It's fun and the characters are addictive. It looks great, and its got some good, fun humor too. It's also about Jesse James. Who doesn't like train robbers like Jesse James? The Recruit is one of those CIA movies. It's got Al Pacino in it too, and he does a great job. The story is good and compelling, and the ending is a twist. More or less. So I highly recommend them all, at least individually to people who like those various types of movies if nothing else. ^_^'

And now I've typed up a swarm and this turned out to be a huge post! I think I just killed someone's f-list somewhere out there. >XDDD YOU'RE WELCOME!!

Bubye now~!

I had another dream last night. And no, Neko, I still don't know what it is, where I get it from, or how you can get some too. But I sure as heck must have delved into the stuff again last night because this was another doozy. The only problem is I don't really remember much of it anymore. I woke up quite a few times last night and this morning and every hour in between... so I've slept since then.

I do remember was vaguely Daredevil centered, and it was mostly first person view again, but the main person was not me. I think it was some little boy. In fact, I think it was Matt Murdock, but he wasn't blind yet. And there was video games. Old video games... like, Nintendo old. The original Mario old. Yeah. I don't know either.

Anyway, that's about all I can coherently remember... except something about a store and where the boy played the video games, but that's gets a bit lengthy to explain and I probably wouldn't make sense anyway. 'Cause sense when do I ever, right? Right.

So..... that's about it.

Oh, yeah. I watched Daredevil last night because it was on TV and I had nothing else to do. I never would have watched it before... I don't care for Daredevil, and before Ultimate Alliance I didn't even care about comics, much less Marvel... but lately that's been my benge. Heh.

By the way, I love Bullseye. Hellz yeah. But may I say...? As corny as his blue suit is... he really looked quite silly in the movie and I really almost wished they had just given him the craptastic blue suit. Then I got used to it and he was almost butnotquite cute. Hah.

Yeah.... I'm done.

SEASON PREMERES, OH HELLZ YES BABY! Haha!

I totally didn't know they were starting up so soon. Well, I'm not gonna complain, that's for damn straight sure. Gives me something to do again on week nights. Yay.

So I caught the CSI: New York season premere tonight. (By accident no less.) Very exciting! I was loving all the music stuff, and at the same time thinking to myself "oh, shit... to think a music buff could do this... wow..." haha! XD Also... POOR STATUE OF LIBERTY. That was so not cool. On the other hand, why was I not surprised that it was Danny hanging off the side of her face collecting evidence while in harness? Haha! Great. Lovin' it.

It really was an exciting episode. Maybe that's just me? However I did find it insanely easy to figure the case out. I had it solved waaaay before the CSIs. I was glad that Mac got the hint there, though, about the evidence pointing to his own crime. Ftw, right? Right. I suspected the guy right from the beginning when he first showed up, asking about her case and then talking about the girl's parents. I dunno, it just stuck in my mind. Plus the other guy's personality seemed too off for that kind of planning and shit... coulda been acting, but yeah right.

And anyway... the stuff with Stella at his apartment. When I saw her in his apartment I, again, knew it was him and they had the "wrong" guy. The other guy did, after all, kill the original girl. But not the rest. Also as soon as I saw that piano, instant "it was an A" thought crossed into my mind. I knew it came from that piano.

So, ok, exciting, definitely. Lacking on confusing me, also definitely. For once I actually knew everything way ahead of time! I used to be good at that in movies. I guess it's coming back. Sweet!

That's a good song by the way.

Okay, what is with me and electronic devices these days? First my computer at home, now the automatic stapler here at work? What the hell? I mean, com'on! My computer is on the fritz at home. It won't work properly for the life of me. And don't ask me what's wrong either! I have no clue. Or at least not a well defined enough of one to try and explain it here in writing.

And now the stapler? Not that I can't live without it... I can staple by hand (or rather, by arm since that's the muscle that will hurt after a good while of operating a stapler) but maaan... this is getting ridiculous. It is eating the paper you put into it. lol. Yeah, that's funny. But not quite amusing. Well, okay, yes, it is. It's not my paper after all. But still. Wtf?

Oh, also, I am officially not allowed to eat Runts anymore. Why? BECAUSE I KEEP DROPPING THEM! WTF IS WRONG WITH ME!?

Murr...

I'm bored. And frustrated. Mostly just bored, but don't feel like doing anything. Well, what I what to do isn't happening so I don't feel like doing much of anything else.

Does that make sense?

Whatever.

THIS IS SO ANNOYING. ARG!

I also need to keep better track of this lj name. Heh. I only RP and totally forget about my real lj. Whoops. That, and I haven't been online for a good while. But, hey, at least I have half an excuse for that one. The power was out there for a day. But that was only one day. Other than that I was at my friends' house for a day or two, and I don't get online when I'm walking in the door at 12... I just go to bed. Isn't that great?

Anyway, I need to check up on my f-list, but I'm totally lazy. That's sad, isn't it? Well, here's my apology:

SORRY LJ F-LIST PEEPS!!!

Right. That said, um... well, I've got nothing. I'm still just annoyed. At what you say? MY F-ING PHONE. The connection SUCKS and I just want to talk to my new friend on it, but NOOOOOO~~~ That's not happening. FUCK. Well, whatever. There's always tomorrow, right? BUT THAT'S TOO LONG FROM NOW.

Fuck.

I think I'm obsessed. This can't be a good thing.

Perhaps even the best part of any of Tom Clancy's novels. Hell, possibly his best work ever.

And it is when Clark and Oreza meet in Debt of Honor.

You look like you've seen a ghost... )

Yes, that simple a scene. But you see... there is a lot of history in the work of this meeting. If you only read Debt of Honor you definitely wouldn't get it. I mean, it somewhat explains the fact that Clark has a new name and all and that Oreza saw "Clark" die. But there's just so much more to it than that.

And that is what makes it so f-in' awesome.

Should I explain in a full rant? I think I shall.

We so just owned their ass! Haha!

Continuing with my book and its war with Japan... we totally just pwned the Japanese and their superior radar systems. Heheh. It was awesome. Our guys just went right under their noses (literally for the helicopter but figuritively for the jets--they went over the radar, pretty literally). That was cool. The F-22s went in straight at them and let the Japanese get a good lock on them. The -22s had F-15Es trailing in their jetwashes so close behind that the radar only picked up on the pair of -22s in formation and not their trailing -15Es. When the pairs separated the Japanese radar fixed on the -15Es as they stayed level and didn't catch the -22s as they flew further up. It was really nice, and a bit more complicated than my explination, but that's the jist of it. Beautiful.

So the helicopter took out one of the radar planes from below its radar screen and the -22s took out two others from up above. And the Japanese F-15Js (using the radar from the planes now shot down) were going after the -15Es and are now instead caught between the -15Es off the coast and the -22s coming back from inshore. Haha. They are gonna get pwned too here soon.

Not to mention Clark and Chavez's little mission went totally beautifully, too. That was some nice footwork. I love those two. Squee. ^^

Ahh, I love it.
aisuyoukai: (DMC | Cerberus - Vicious Beast)
Holy shit, I am actually hating the Japanese right now! (For anyone who actually knows me, you know why this is a surprise.) They fuckin' launched torpedoes at us, and then had to audacity to lie about it! And not just "we didn't launch no torpedoes" but rather "warning! we have launched torpedoes do to a malfunction." Wtf? That's just... worse. And all for a collapse in financial operations.

Oh, don't think I'm a nut just yet. What I'm talking about is simply my book. :P

My latest Tom Clancy novel to be exact. Still the same one as before with all of Chavez's info. Well, the recent stuff I've been going on about. It's Debt of Honor and deals mostly with the Japanese as the main threat. (Clancy is cool. He goes through about every major country throughout his entire series.)

I was excited about it dealing with Japan... and it's still cool. It's just, this part right here, this crap, this attack, is so not cool. I'm seething. Wtf, when did I get patriotism?

Anyway.... yea.....
