As much as I say I do not like Christmas I have to say that I actually haven't had too bad a time so far. Besides the massive amount of people. I haven't actually had to deal with any complainers and yellers. Yet.

Also I have to admit I like one thing a whole lot this year... it always brightens my trip home from work after a closing shift: riding down our (new) street this year is really rather pleasant. There are a number of lights (although not as many as I would love to see in one place like they used to be) and most are really nicely done. It's great. ^_^

It's hard to keep the smirk from coming but he doesn't want to give Ezio the wrong impression with it so he forces it down.

He bows his head slightly, briefly, in acknowledgment of the other.

Despite that stubborn streak he inherited from you there is mutual admiration there, especially since he learned most of what he knows from the codex the older man wrote.

This earns a skeptical look. No offense but this Ezio isn't as familiar with you as others and although there's respect there he isn't sure he completely trusts that look.

It's not like that, silly. He's knows you're different. But he can't help but smirk at the look he's given and almost laughs. Almost.

Instead he simply shrugs and suddenly darts off in the other direction, pausing once to glance over his shoulder at Ezio before he swiftly dives away. His actions seem to say are you coming? in a surprisingly playful manner.

Skepticism quickly turns to 'oh merda, I'm being left behind!' He sprints after the hooded figure gaining on him rather quickly but not completely catching up. Losing is not an option.

Good. He gets the game. Altair seems to fly across the landscape as he leads Ezio in wild directions, not giving hint to his destination just yet, keeping the younger assassin on his toes so to speak.

It doesn't take long for the only sound Ezio can hear is his own quick breathing and his heart drumming in his ears. The chase is far from easy but the Italian hasn't given up yet. He stays on the older assassin's heels.

This is again pleasing in a prideful sort of way. Repressing a grin, the Hashshashin continues forward. Eventually it may become apparent that his destination is that one high spot well above any other in sight.

Most of his attention is focused on keeping up with the white robes in front of him, but he soon notices their direction and peels away, shimmying up to a rooftop for what he hopes is a more direct route. He can't keep the smirk off his face. Try and catch me old man!

Altaïr knew his way well though and slipped easily out of sight. He returned soon enough, above Ezio and still out in front, if just barely.

He always had liked the high ground.

The only sign of his displeasure is a low curse uttered under his breath as he pushes harder, willing his legs to sprint faster. He leaps from one building to the next with ease only to realize his rival is doing the same.

This was going to be close.
