aisuyoukaiI've been playing DoC for the past hour or so. I've since come up with these things to note:
I love that they used known anime voice actors to do the voices. It's really cool hearing them. At the same time, I can't help but laugh at some of the over acting. It's good acting, but the characters aren't doing anything! I find it funny and amusing although I feel mean. XD
Cid's voice sounds like a Marine from Halo! I swear it does! Accent and all.
I've actually had this opinion for quite some time, but haven't mentioned anywhere yet. The Deepground suits remind me of Tron. Come on. Blue highlights? The Programs' circuitry anyone?
Also speaking of Tron, the part where Shelke is modifying the Sherra's computer to link to it? Oh, yea. That also reminds me of Tron. Specifically when the laser looking thing moves on the ceiling, but also anytime she mentions diving really.
Oh, the Sherra! I note that that's what everyone calls it. But have you noticed the picture on the floor with the title "Highwind 2?" Yea... what's up with that? Oh, and they mention the airships actually being from a lost time... that actually makes me think of the Red Wings and their airships. They do kind of look the same.
And I really love this one!! When you talk to one of the girls standing up in the bridge area of the Sherra she mentions her new Chocobo. It's name is Boco! That's so cool! It's a reference to one of the older FFs. Sweetness. ^^

Ok. That's it, Shelke in and of herself reminds me of Tron. Period! Geez. If the phrase "defragmenting in my mind" hadn't done it, well then... but, seriously. Everything about her and her connection to computers makes me think of Tron. So, that's that. Shelke=Tron. I can't get around it. >_>; XD
Also, I have to note that when you talk to Reeve again Cait comes up. When you talk to Cait they talk about the benefactor of WRO. They don't mention his name, but it's *so* Rufus. Heheh. Oh, yea. I'd say he "owes the Planet" something. Heheh. Rufus. Hellz yea. >XD

I officially love Cid's motivational speech! That's... that's wonderful! >XDDD
Also, Reeve is cute when he's being sappy and/or subtly trying to help. Aka, when he "counts on" Shelke. Hehe. ^^
