Battle Music
Dec. 11th, 2006 12:24 pmHave you ever watched one of those shows where, somewhere in the show, they have this really bad-ass battle scene or action scene and there's this soft, totally opposing music playing in the background? Kinda like the battle with Jenova when they play Aerith's Theme? Yea, well. That's highly amusing to me.
And get this, I was just reading The Fall of Reach (again) and got to the awesome space battle with Keyes when he does his famous "Keyes Loop" maneuver... and guess what decides to play on my MP3 player? The ending theme to FFVIII. Now the point of this is, in that end theme they play "Eyes On Me" and that's what was playing as I read through that kick-ass battle.
I mean, come on. This really intense battle is going on in front of my eyes and suddenly this soft, sweet song is playing in the background? That's so freakin' amusing! I love it! I always did love it when an action scene is going on and "pretty" music starts playing. It cracks me up, amuses me to no end, and is a really great idea. I just love it! And there it goes playing in one of the most bad-ass fight scenes ever to exist in the Halo universe. That just freakin' made my day. Oh yea.
