As much as I say I do not like Christmas I have to say that I actually haven't had too bad a time so far. Besides the massive amount of people. I haven't actually had to deal with any complainers and yellers. Yet.

Also I have to admit I like one thing a whole lot this year... it always brightens my trip home from work after a closing shift: riding down our (new) street this year is really rather pleasant. There are a number of lights (although not as many as I would love to see in one place like they used to be) and most are really nicely done. It's great. ^_^

The only sign of his displeasure is a low curse uttered under his breath as he pushes harder, willing his legs to sprint faster. He leaps from one building to the next with ease only to realize his rival is doing the same.

This was going to be close.

Or not at all as Altaïr suddenly stops and whirls to the side, disappearing from sight again as he seemingly takes a plunge off the side of the building he was on.

Something was wrong.

He heard it rather than saw it, the guard calling for them to stop. Two bounds later he was off the side of the building and swinging down into the streets.

He sprinted into a nearby ally and but continued towards the goal, eyes darting back and forth looking for better cover.

Altaïr was already in a bale of hay where he had leapt from the side of the building in what looked like a fall. The guards' attention focused on the other one since obviously the one was dead from the fall.

Rounding the corner he saw an opening in a bench with an empty spot between two sleepy looking civilians. He threw himself on it and forced his breathing to calm, leaning elbows on his knees to look as casual as possible.

He heard the angry cries from his pursuers get closer, then fade again as they passed.

Altaïr bounded from the haystack a little while after the commotion died and immediately began walking towards the initial destination. He figured Ezio would already be there, and he was in no hurry. It didn't bother him today.

The danger now passed Ezio was no where near as easy about it as his ancestor. He bounded from his hiding place and took off running again for the tower, not stopping when he arrived and climbing smoothly up the side to a ledge above.

He caught his breath and looked for white robes.

They were coming, slowly at first, until they reached the side of the building and then the Assassin was swiftly climbing up the side of it. He reached Ezio's ledge soon enough and dangled off the side, a small smile hinted on his lips as he hung comfortably there.

The Italian wore a triumphant smirk as Altair arrived. It was his turn to beckon the other assassin forward with a wave of his hand.

Altair raised an eyebrow but did as "told," lifting himself up onto the ledge and stepping closer to Ezio just a bit.

Ezio nods his thanks for the free run, even venturing to clap a hand on the other's shoulder. It's a male bonding thing; thanks for the quality time old man.

Altair smiles and returns the nod. Don't call him old man.

What ever you say, padrone. Speak Italian Altair? I don't think so.

((Please tell me I'm not the only one laughing 'cause neither of the have actually spoken a word to one another?))

Sadly no. But he can guess. Ezio gets a scowl and a fwap! to the head for that.

"Diavolo! That hurt!" He rubs his head idly and glares at the older man.

((Broke the silence. There.))

"What other look should I give someone who feels the need to hit me?"

Scoff. "I have no idea what you are referring to."

:| Not so easily convinced.

Stubborn glare. "This is why I call you old man, you know. No sense of humor!"

"I am not old." And he has a sense of humor...you just don't know how to find it.

"And why should I believe that?" Curse your cleverly hidden sense of humor Altair.

"Because I do not even look old." :\

Give him a moment to look you over a little better. Then another smirk.

"Actions speak louder than appearances it seems."
