Squee! I always like how you write. And look! An entry! First one in... well, freakin' forever!
Not that I'm one to talk...
There's only one thing I saw in here that jumped out at the beta in me: "Dom was looking forward to it’s finish."
Wrong form of "its," hon. Other than that, nicely done!
