"Why are we simulating this again, Flynn?" the white-laced security program asked, glancing once more at the horizon where a cargo ship hovered idly in the air.

"Because everyone wants to be a pirate!" the enigmatic User replied.

Tron frowned. "But from what you explained they're thieves and ruffians. Why would anyone want to be a pirate?"

Flynn laughed as he replied, "Because they're awesome, man."

Tron's look only got more perplexed--which made Flynn laugh more. He patted his electronic best bud on the back and turned to issue piratey orders to the crew with lots of 'arrrs' and 'maties' interspersed.

Yeah, I've been listening to this waaaay too much today. |D
It had to be done and you know it. YOU KNOW IT DID.
Enjoy the images thus implanted in your brain. :D

What was the #1 song the day you were born? Google the date and #1 song and then post your #1 song on your LJ - preferably with a Youtube vid if you can find one!

Rock Me Amadeus by Falco:

No wonder I'm a band nerd, hurhur.

The original version isn't bad, but the longer version has better quality and I like the ending (the part with Mozart's song, of course!) and dude--how could I pass up the Amadeus movie video? >D Kickass!

Shamelessly stolen from [ profile] derogative.

The Rules: List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they’re not any good, but they must be songs you’re really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LiveJournal/blog along with your seven songs. Then tag seven other people to see what they’re listening to.

As a general note: these are in no particular order; I'm just writing them down as I think of 'em. Iow, completely random order. :P

1. Life Is Beautiful | Sixx: A.M.
2. Broken | Robert Downey Jr.
3. Church of the Machine | Symphony X
4. Merchant of Death | Iron Man OST
5. Iron Man | Jack Urbont (Iron Man OST/60s Cartoon Theme Song)
6. Iron Man | Black Sabbath
7. Call of the Wild | Fur: An Imaginary Portrait of Diane Arbus OST

While I'm at it and have access to the internet...

I have fallen in love--all over again. I have the Halo 3 soundtrack now. The CDs are beautiful. The music is wonderful. I love listening to the familiar themes (and few new ones) in a true orchestral setting. The instruments are so beautiful sounding. It's fun distinguishing the different sounds and how they arranged the music and a bunch of words here to describe what I'm thinking/talking about but can't quite express because my brain is (here we go Neko--here's the other icon quote I need to make) my brain is fart.

Anyway, it's beautiful and awesome and I'm in love with Halo all over again. I played it yesterday after listening to the music. Heheh.

I have the Transformer movie (2007) OST--the pretty score version they finally put out! I am content. ^___^

I had been waiting for them to actually release this thing almost since the day I first played the game. And now they have, and I ordered it, and it came in today. It is simply the most beautiful thing I have heard in forever. I love it. It's even more beautiful outside of the game. And it totally tells a story without the video needed. Now that is how music should sound. (And I'm only on the second song so far!)

I squee because I want to. Oh yea. (Out loud... AGAIN! Haha.)

I just got my Ookami soundtrack in the mail!! And it is so awesome!! It is pretty and beautiful. The music and artwork that's on it. I absolutely love it!

The artwork on the holding case, on the actual cd case, and on the actual cds is simply beautiful. I always did love the art of the game. It's wonderful. Plus the cd case is really neat the way it folds up! There're five cds (yes, count them, FIVE cds) worth of music and the case is all one intricately folded object. It's really cool. It still fits the same size of holding case as, say, a four cd soundtrack like most videogames have. I find it fascinating. Ok, so it's not that fascinating, but still. I find it to be. XP

And then of course there's the actual music. Dude, it kicks ass. I love it!!! It's 'traditional' Japanese--you know, with the 'traditional' instruments and all? It's sooo pretty. And now I have all of it!! Mwuahahahahaha!!!

Reply and I'll give you a letter. Find five songs that start with that letter and post them to your journal.

[ profile] glasskey14 gave me the letter 'G'. Here's what I managed to scrounge up:

1. Getting Away With Murder - Papa Roach \\ The first song I could think of when given the letter. It's a good song, that. ^^
2. Gonna Make It There - Baxter \\ It's my current favorite song! Go Lizzie for picking the letter this one starts with! Hoo-rah! (It's on the CSI: Miami OST.)
3. Grissom's Overture - John M. Keane \\ A good song, orchestral with synthesizer... it's your typical 'in the lab'/'picking up evidence' scene music. (It's on the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation OST, duh.)
4. Gypsy Rhapsody - Bond \\ I love this band. I was just listening to them earlier, haha. This is the only one of their songs that starts with a 'G' (on my personal playlist). It's a good song though, no worries!
5. Genius - The Exies \\ Awesome song! Great band! Dude, I love the lyrics to this one. Replace the female pronouns with male ones and it always makes me think of a DW strategist. LOL.

And as a bonus (because I can):
6. Great Warrior - Nobuo Uematsu \\ Beautiful, heart-wrenching song! I couldn't help it; I love FFVII entirely too much. This song and 'Gold Saucer' are the only ones in the entire four CD soundtrack that begin with the letter 'G'. And this one is absolutely wonderful, so it wins a spot on my lj. Because I love Nanaki and his brave, warrior father Seto. ^_^

P.S.- I'm not as cool as Lizzie and can't upload them anywhere for downloading. However, if you ask kindly enough (and I like you) I might consider sending one or two or so to you in an email. ;D

Have you ever watched one of those shows where, somewhere in the show, they have this really bad-ass battle scene or action scene and there's this soft, totally opposing music playing in the background? Kinda like the battle with Jenova when they play Aerith's Theme? Yea, well. That's highly amusing to me.

And get this, I was just reading The Fall of Reach (again) and got to the awesome space battle with Keyes when he does his famous "Keyes Loop" maneuver... and guess what decides to play on my MP3 player? The ending theme to FFVIII. Now the point of this is, in that end theme they play "Eyes On Me" and that's what was playing as I read through that kick-ass battle.

I mean, come on. This really intense battle is going on in front of my eyes and suddenly this soft, sweet song is playing in the background? That's so freakin' amusing! I love it! I always did love it when an action scene is going on and "pretty" music starts playing. It cracks me up, amuses me to no end, and is a really great idea. I just love it! And there it goes playing in one of the most bad-ass fight scenes ever to exist in the Halo universe. That just freakin' made my day. Oh yea.
aisuyoukai: (Disney - Saddle and Fly)
Ack! I've been wanting to for a long time, but now I really, really want to play Shadow of the Colossus. It looks pretty... and the music is really beautiful! I have a bit of it. I'm in love. ^^

aisuyoukai: (TRON - Tron)
I ♥ Tron. ^^ Hehehehe.

He's so adorable!!! Ok, so I just got finished playing the second Space Paranoids part in KHII again. I love that part of the game! Any time I go into Space Paranoids I get giddy. Hehehe. It's fun. I love Tron's voice as much as his character, too. I'm glad they got his original actor, Bruce Boxleitner, to do his voice for the game. It just wouldn't be the same otherwise.

Ah, damn. Now I want to watch the movie. >XD Well, I guess the soundtrack will have to do for now. I'm listening to it. It's so pretty. Or maybe that's just me... but I really love it! It's great. And it's always stuck in my head these days.

Oh, right. So, yea, I'm still trying to beat KHII in Proud Mode. Of course, it's only taking me so long because I haven't been playing it at all lately! Not for a long time now. I've been concentrating on another game mostly.

Tron 2.0! I love that game. ^_^! Hehe. It's almost as good as the original. But Jet is no comparison to my favorite Program. Almost, but not quite. Anyway, I actually beat that very soon after buying it! It didn't take me long at all. A matter of days, which really translates into a matter of a few hours 'cause it's not like I get to play 24/7. But now I'm going through it again on a harder level setting.

That has a beautiful soundtrack as well! And I love listening to it when I'm not listening to the original Tron music. Hehe. ^_^ I love soundtracks. Speaking of which, I just got both Pirates of the Caribbean soundtracks, The Curse of the Black Pearl AND Dead Man's Chest. My friends are great. ^^ I listen to those two if I'm not engaged in either of the Tron OSTs. *Snickers*

Well, that's about it. Oh! It's really, really, really late! Or early. Yea, really early. In the morning. And I haven't slept at all. But then, I haven't been sleepy either. >_> Oh well. I don't know what's up with that. I just bet I end up taking a really long nap during the middle of the day... today. Gah!

Ja ne, minna-san! ^_^
aisuyoukai: (Reno - Whatever)
Ok, so the song that played at the beginning of V for Vendetta was 1812 Overture by Tchaikovsky. I just... wanted to put that somewhere... 'cause I finally figured it out... (And earlier I had posted about it. Heh.)

I just got out of Philosophy class... we're discussing aesthetics, art. It's interesting. Anyway, the teacher mentioned Beethoven's Sympathy No. 9 and it instantly got stuck in my head (of course -_-).

For some reason that made me think of V for Vendetta and the opening sequence. You know, where he blows up everything. Hehe. Well, what is that song that he plays during all of that? It doesn't happen to be that song, does it? -_-''
